Amar Sawhney, Ph.D., is the President, CEO and founder of Ocular Therapeutix, which focuses on sustained ophthalmic therapies with proprietary tailored hydrogels to improve patient experience and outcomes. Dr. Sawhney was previously the founder and CEO of Confluent Surgical (acquired by Covidien), the Chairman of MarketRx (acquired by Cognizant), and technology founder of Focal, Inc. (acquired by Genzyme) and Access Closure, Inc. Dr. Sawhney’s innovations are the subject of over 100 issued and pending patents. Dr. Sawhney holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi.
Anita Gambhir is President at The Cornell Group, Inc., which provides management consulting for U.S. and international government and private organizations and specializes in strategic business and financial planning, budget development and management, contract negotiations and program management, information technology, and conferences/events management. She is skilled in requirements analysis, data modeling, process analysis and improvement, Agile/RAD/JAD/SDLC, change management and project /program management. Ms. Gambhir holds a Masters in Biodefense from George Mason University, Virginia; Bachelors in Computer Science from Florida International University, Florida; Diploma in Business Management from Datamatics Institute of Management Calcutta, India; and Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences from BITS Pilani, India.
Ms. Devinder Singh has been President & CEO of AMDEX Corporation since 1987. She is a recognized leader in the IT services industry for innovation and business solutions. Ms. Singh is a recipient of many awards for outstanding business services from federal and commercial clients. Under her guidance, AMDEX has been recognized as a top-ranking women-owned business in the State of Maryland, and has also been placed as a top 100 women-owned business in the United States. Ms. Singh holds a Master’s degree in Bio-sciences from Punjab University, Chandigarh and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from University of Maryland.
Dr. Rajwant Singh is the founder and President of EcoSikh. Dr. Singh is also the Chairman of the Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), Communications Director of the Sikh Human Development Foundation, and Secretary of the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation in Maryland. In the past, Dr. Singh has also held the presidency of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington, where he convened faith communities in DC for joint discussions. Dr. Singh currently resides in the Washington, DC Metro Area with his wife and two children.
Suneet Singh Tuli is the co-founder and CEO of DataWind Ltd., an IT company that is now widely known for its development of the Aakash tablet computer, the world’s most inexpensive tablet. Mr. Tuli has been a board member of EcoSikh since 2014, where he addresses the developing world’s access to technology and growing environmental concerns. Mr. Tuli is an advocate for faith involvement in environmental issues, and is often outspoken on the need for faith leaders to lead climate action among their followers. In December 2014, Mr. Tuli was recognized at Buckingham Palace by the Alliance of Religions and Conservation (ARC) for his commitment to environmental action, and his technological contributions to underprivileged youth inIndia and countries in Africa.
Jasbir Kaur is a Nurse Administrator in California and has been serving in the field of Health Care from last two decades. Born and raised in Calcutta, India Jasbir Kaur did her degree in Bachelors of Arts with a major of economics and home science from Khalsa College Ludhiana. Further she also did her Bachelors of Science in Nursing and Public Health from California State University Fresno. She lives in Visalia, California with my husband and three children. She is actively involved with various local Non-profit organizations including: The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Visalia Rescue Mission, and Indian Women’s Association(IWA).
