Ravneet Pal Singh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India. He worked as a Project Manager for an irrigation firm for a number of years where he promoted water conservation through sound irrigation designs, construction observations and water management practices. Ravneet grew up in Punjab but also spent several years in UK which gave him an understanding of environmental issues facing the Sikh community in Punjab and the Diaspora. Ravneet is a committed and practicing Sikh, and his concern for environment is based on the view that awareness is nothing without action.

Special Initiatives, Punjab
Gursahib Singh coordinates EcoSikh’s special initiative of greening of Sikh religious processions (called Nagar Kirtans) in Punjab. He is charge of creating general awareness about pollution control, sanitation and garbage control/recycling in the mass level religious celebrations. He communicates and engages youth in Punjab to participate in assisting religious celebrations from the environmental angle. He creates partnerships with other socially active groups and organizations to participate in environmental programs of EcoSikh. Recently he was in charge of managing a procession of 87 KM which required mobilization of many youth and volunteers from several villages to handle and recycle garbage during the celebrations.
Gursahib is a graduate in humanities and currently pursuing Masters in Business Administration from Lovely Professional University and he also helps his father in manufacturing automobiles parts. He has been very active in organising blood donation camps in the past and has presented his school at National level in Volley Ball in 2007-08. Occasionally he trains the high schoolers for Volley ball in Ludhiana during summer camps
Assistant Program Manager, India
Gurpreet Kaur, EcoSikh India’s new Program Managing Assistant, Gurpreet received a Bachelor’s of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana Punjab. She is also pursuing Master’s of Technology in Computer Science Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College. She has worked with Tata Consultancy Services Pvt Ltd. for 1.7 years and their NGO “Maitree”. She also started coaching classes for engineering students but had been always concerned about the damage being caused to the land and our surroundings, and is dedicated to work for the protection and conservation of the Mother Earth.
Project Administrator – EcoAmritsar
Gurjit Singh has joined EcoSikh as the new Project Administrator for EcoAmritsar. Gurjit is an experienced agriculture professional and bank professional. He has a deep interest in Sikhi and the environment, which inspires his work. Gurjit completed a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University.He then worked in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana for five years. After that, he joined HDFC Bank Ltd. as Relationship Manager and was successfully handling many branches to spearhead the business development movement of creation of agriculture portfolio of HDFC Bank. Additionally, he holds a Master of Business Administration with Honors in Marketing.

Jaspreet Singh is Masters in Computers Science (Information Technology) from Lyallpur Khalsa College,Amritsar. He completed his Bachelor of Computer Application from Arya College under Panjab University, Chandigarh. After a short stint as Assistant Professor at GGNIVS Ludhiana, he joined Skynet Innovations Pvt. Ltd., a software company developing ERP Solutions as a System Programmer. Later, he joined the family business of Waste Oil Recycling and implemented eco friendly technologies in the plant turning waste to wealth. Jaspreet Singh is grandson of Sangeet Ratna Gurmat Sangeet Legend-Prof Kartar Singh Ji. He is a strong believer in Sikh Principles and fond of listening to traditional Gurmat Sangeet. He is also a co-founder of Vigaas Foundation, an NGO working towards spreading various noble messages like drug addiction, family and parenting through print and electronic channels, hold annual interactive sessions on ‘Happy Family Life’ (HFL). He has produced and screened award winning movies like Empty Inside and Five Folds. Having deep concerns for Climate Change and other environmental issues, he produced another short film ‘A Little Gardener’ which is a fascinating story of a young boy who had a dream to sow seeds of greenery in barren lands and minds, and worked as production manager in this Project.
